the pop cultural: sights, sounds and pages

Ok, I wasn’t so sure about AMC’s new show The Walking Dead, but the idea of premiering it on Halloween was smart. I was in the mood for something creepy and they delivered. At first, I thought - how far can they go with this plot, but by the end I understood there’s a lot they can do. It’s the idea of trying to rebuild/maintain a civilization amongst flesh eating zombies. Quite challenging, as we saw from the final scene. I’m into it and will give it some time. I love creepy.

Iconoclasts is a show on the Sundance Channel. It’s one of the best shows on TV. Ie now seen every episode in the 4 seasons. It pairs two celebrities in different genres and follows them for a few days. The two ”icons” essentially interview each other on their life, career, passions and what helps them key balance or find success. What I love about it is it takes you deeper into the lives of highly successful people and the people aren’t always your traditional celebrity that is here today gone tomorrow. It’s people who have deomstrated long-term success. Some of my favorite episodes were:

• Madeleine Albright + Ashley Judd
